Thalapathy Vijay Breaks Silence on Karur Stampede Incident: The hugely popular Tamil superstar-turned-politician Thalapathy Vijay recently launched his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), making headlines for his latest rally in Tamil Nadu’s Karur. Reportedly, 41 people lost their lives, and many were left injured in the stampede incident on 27th September 2025. 3 days after this shocking tragedy happened, the president of the TVK party, Vijay, broke his silence, addressing the public for the first time through a 4.45-minute-long video clip.

Thalapathy Vijay expresses his sorrow for the Karur stampede incident
On 30th September, three days after the unexpected incident happened, Thalapathy Vijay took to the X (formerly Twitter) handle and expressed his sorrow through the 4.45-minute-long video clip. Vijay stated that “The tragedy should not have happened,” and also said he hoped to visit Karur soon to meet the survivors.
The video also stated:
I have never faced such a painful situation in my life. The reason so many people came to see me on this tour is the love and affection they have for me. I am indebted to them.
Thalapathy Vijay further raises questions against the current Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M. K. Stalin‘s government, about the FIR on TV leaders.
People are watching everything. The truth will come out. CM sir, if you want to take revenge, do whatever you can, but do not touch them. I will either be at home or in the office.
