Thangalaan global box office collection day 1: Studio Green and Neelam Productions jointly presented the Tamil action adventure film “Thangalaan,” which was released this Independence Day (15 August), with the star casts Vikram, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan, Daniel Caltagirone, and others.
As per the latest news update report, it debuted at the box office on a high note with ₹ 13.3 Cr net in India. For raising the collection alone, the Tamil version contributed ₹ 11.70 Cr net and became the 3rd biggest Tamil net opening film of 2024, just behind Dhanush’s Raayan (₹ 11.85 Cr). Following that, the Telugu version contributed ₹ 1.5 Cr, and the Malayalam version added ₹ 0.1 Cr.

Vikram’s Tamil action adventure Thangalaan globally surpasses the ₹ 19 Cr mark. For accumulated score, the Indian market has grossed ₹ 15.3 Cr (Tamil Nadu: ₹ 11.1 Cr; Karnataka: ₹ 1.15 Cr; APTG: ₹ 1.9 Cr; and Kerala: ₹ 1.15 Cr); on the other hand, at the overseas market, it opened approximately $500K gross (₹ 4.19 Cr). The film has the potential to cross the ₹70 Cr gross mark within the notable extended weekend globally.
