Thangalaan North India release date: Producer K. E. Gnanavel Raja’s high-octane Tamil periodic action adventure “Thangalaan” made its grand silver screen debut on August 15 on the auspicious occasion of Independence Day in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam languages. It received mixed-to-positive reviews from critics and film enthusiasts. Following this, on August 24, makers announced that the Chiyaan Vikram-led action adventure is now slated to debut in Hindi format from 30th August (Friday), on demand from exhibitors from northern Indian territories.

On Saturday, August 24th, production house Studio Green took to Twitter and made the exciting announcement for the North Indian audience, captioning it: “The Son of Gold Arrives in North India on August 30th! Prepare to experience the epic story of #Thangalaan”
Thangalaan is based on the real-life event of the invention of Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) in India by the British ruler. The story also showcases the deep side of British exploitation of the Indians for looting this gold field.

The Tamil periodic drama was directed by Pa. Ranjith, the story was penned by Tamil Prabha and the director himself, and it was financed by K. E. Gnanavel Raja. A. Kishor Kumar handled the cinematography, edited by Selva R. K., and the music was composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar. It was released under the banners of Studio Green and Neelam Productions. The star cast of the film includes Vikram, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan, Daniel Caltagirone, and others.
