Based on the Deadline report, the film opened with a $10.4 million gross (including a paid preview), and the report also hinted at Ryan Gosling’s action comedy falling short of meeting the opening weekend expectations of $35 million, targeting to garner around $28 million from 4002 theatres in U.S Market. This weekend, the film is also gearing up to release in over 40 countries, including the UK, Mexico, Ireland, Germany, France, and Mexico.
While director David Leitch’s last film, Bullet Train, racked up $30 million in the opening weekend, on the other hand, lead actor Ryan Gosling’s Barbie and actress Emily Blunt’s Oppenheimer delivered phenomenal performances at the box office.
