Tumbbad 2 Shoot Begins: Sohum Shah’s highly anticipated fantasy horror “Tumbbad 2“, which serves as the sequel to 2018’s cult hit Tumbbad, has officially gone on floors. The first installment was critically and commercially acclaimed during its re-release on 13 September, 2024, as the film has collected more than its initial release.
Following the first part’s huge success, makers have moved forward, announced the second part, and, from Tuesday, April 7, actor and producer Sohum Shah officially kicked off the shoot with a traditional “Mahurat Ceremony”.
Sohum Shah Announces Tumbbad 2 Shoot Begins
On Tuesday, the acclaimed director and producer Sohum Shah took to the social media handles and shared some moments with the fans from Tumbbad 2’s inaugural ceremony. The Mahurat Ceremony was also graced by producers Jayantilal Gada, Boney Kapoor, Dhaval Gada, and others.
He captions in the post the following: “With blessings and gratitude, the journey of #Tumbbad2 begins, as we come together to take the story forward.”

Directed and written by Adesh Prasad, the fantasy horror film is set to release in the running year, under the banners of Pen Studios & Sohum Shah Films. Including the lead, Sohum Shah, it’s also featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Resad Ajim in crucial portrayals.
