Tumbbad re-release box office collection day 3 (1st Weekend): The dynamic Sohum Shah key featuring and co-produced horror drama flick is unstoppable in its re-release business. On it’s initial release, it earned a decent Rs 3.25 Cr (Friday: 0.65 Cr; Saturday: 1.15 Cr; and Sunday: 1.45 Cr) net within the opening week, and now 6 years later in the re-release, it has generated 125.85% higher than the first time release Rs 7.34 Cr mark.
Taking the impressive repeat run, the veteran film critic and business analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter handle and wrote: “Six years later, in its re-release, #Tumbbad has collected 125.85% more in its 3-day opening weekend, proving that a good film truly stands the test of time.

As per the official report by the makers, the film on the opening day of re-release generated Rs 1.65 Cr, followed by on the second day earning Rs 2.65 Cr, and on opening Sunday it showcased a noteworthy 14.72% spike and garnered Rs 3.04 Cr, introducing the incredible Rs 7.34 Cr net within the opening weekend. The box office trend is hinting that the moviegoers preference for the horror genre film is day by day growing, as we can see Independence Day release Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer “Stree 2,” even in the 5th week, scoring more than the latest release, Kareena Kapoor’s crime thriller.
