Chennai, January 12, 2026: The makers of Karthi‘s keenly awaited Tamil action comedy film “Vaa Vaathiyaar” officially confirmed its release on Pongal, on 14th January 2026. On 12th January, just around a day ago, the maker Studio Green confirmed that by issuing an official statement. Alongside Karthi, young talent Krithi Shetty will portray the leading lady role in the film.

Vaa Vaathiyaar Set for Pongal 2026 Release
A few hours ago, the production house Studio Green took to the X (formerly Twitter) handle and shocked the Karthi fans. As they have announced that, his next Vaa Vaathiyaar is now locked to release on 14th January, on the occasion of Pongal. The official statement unveils that the film was earlier scheduled to release in December 2026; however, due to unavoidable circumstances, the film could not be released as planned.
About Vaa Vaathiyaar Cast and Crew
Nalan Kumarasamy directed and wrote the Tamil action entertainer, which is headed to land in cinemas under the banners of Studio Green and backed by K. E. Gnanavel Raja. George C. Williams handled the cinematography, which was edited by Vetre Krishnan, and music composed by Santhosh Narayanan.
