Vaazhai box office collection day 1: Mari Selvaraj helmed and penned the much-awaited Tamil children’s drama film “Vaazhai,” which debuted at the box office this Friday (23rd August) with a decent ₹ 1.15 Cr net, under the banners Disney+ Hotstar, Navvi Studios, and Farmer’s Master Plan Production.
It received a positive response from the moviegoers and critics, while the news portal India Today gave it a 4 out of 5 rating, The South First also gave a similar rating, and on IMDb it achieved an 8.9 rating out of 10 ratings, based on 153 votes. Stars who are joining hands with the venture are debutantes Ponvel M., Raghul R., Kalaiyarasan, and Nikhila Vimal in the key roles, alongside J. Satish Kumar, Dhivya Duraisamy, Janaki, Priyanka Nair, and Nivedita Rajappan in the notable roles.

It was made with a budget of around ₹ 5-7 Cr (including printing and promotion), which will be recovered under the opening week.
