Vidaamuyarchi North America advance booking Day 1: Magizh Thirumeni helmed and scripted the much-awaited Tamil action thriller “Vidaamuyarchi,” locked to hit the silver screens on 6 February 2025, under the banner Lyca Productions. Stars teamed up with the film are some of the finest actors from the Tamil film, Ajith Kumar in a key role, alongside Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra, Arav, and Ramya Subramanian. It’s based on 1997’s Jonathan Mostow-directed and written American crime thriller film “Breakdown.” On the opening day, North American pre-booking grosses a handsome number, hinting it’ll be Ajith’s career-best premiere day by today (5th February), onwards.

According to the latest pre-booking update by the North American Movie Distributor and Exhibitor Venky Box Office, it generated $242K+ (Rs 2.11 Cr+) gross in the North American market; out of the score alone, the USA market scored $167,949 (Rs 1.46 Cr) gross from 202 locations and 483 shows after selling 7336 tickets.
The distributor report also added: “#Vidaamuyarchi USA Premiere Advance Sales: $167,949 – 202 Locations – 483 Shows – 7336 Tickets Sold Total North America Premiere Advance sales at $242K. Continues to trend well and will be Ajiths career best premiere day by tomorrow. 2 Days till premieres!”
