Following the success of 2023’s critically acclaimed “Viduthalai Part 1,” the makers are back with the sequel, “Viduthalai Part 2.” Today, July 17, makers unveiled the first look of the film, with star-studded Vijay Sethupathi and Manju Warrier in prominent roles, alongside Soori, Bhavani Sre, Anurag Kashyap, Kishore, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Rajiv Menon, and Chetan to appear in the important roles, based on Thunaivan by B. Jeyamohan. The Vetrimaaran-directed and co-written film premiered for the first time at the 53rd International Film Festival Rotterdam on January 31, 2024; the theatrical release date is yet to be announced.

The Tamil period crime thriller film was directed by Vetrimaaran, who also co-wrote the venture with B. Jeyamohan, backed by Elred Kumar, and the director himself, with cinematography handled by R. Velraj, edited by R. Ramar, and music composed by the legendary Ilaiyaraaja. Stars teamed up with the film are Vijay Sethupathi, Manju Warrier, Soori, Bhavani Sre, Anurag Kashyap, and others, set to release under the banners RS Infotainment and Grass Root Film Company.
