War 2 Story and Setup
War 2 is all about Kabir (Hrithik Roshan) becoming the nation’s most wanted man. The government wants him, and for this task, the government deploys Vikram (Jr. NTR), who is a master tactician with a murky past. The setup promises intense mind games and high-octane action. The first half introduces both leads with stylish sequences, and you will blow your whistle for NTR’s mass entry and the Hrithik–NTR dance-off.
War 2 Movie Review: What Works in War 2
War 2 offers visual grandeur. One will fall in love with the movie’s action choreography and fight scenes, which are mounted on a grand scale. NTR’s charisma will keep the audience hooked on the screen, and Hrithik’s effortless style will create electric chemistry on-screen. Kiara Advani has done her work perfectly, as she spices up War 2 with her glamour and delivers a strong performance in her limited screen time.
Pritam’s songs are catchy, and the audience will go gaga over the dance number and “Salaam Anali” because they are very catchy and elevate key moments. The interval twist keeps audiences hooked, and it hints at bigger stakes in the second half.

Where War 2 Falters

Unfortunately, the War 2 review wouldn’t be complete without pointing out the drawbacks. The film’s biggest weakness can be its wafer-thin storyline, because War 2 follows the traditional old storyline. Though the setup is promising, at times the show feels very predictable. The movie has routine twists and minimal emotional depth, but the pacing suffers, especially in the second half.
The VFX appears to be inconsistent. Though the large explosions look fine, certain CGI-enhanced shots, such as those involving NTR’s physique, appear artificial and distracting. This is surprising and is unacceptable given the massive budget.
One major drawback is that the movie fails to hit the spy angle, as it focuses more on glossy action. Than actual espionage. Lastly, character arcs, including NTRs, could have been fleshed out better.
Audience Verdict
Public reaction to War 2 is positive, as fans have superstars like NTR and Hrithik. Fans of Hrithik and NTR are celebrating their screen presence, and they are in awe of their dance sequences and high-energy action scenes. For them, it’s a festival release worth watching in IMAX, and major appreciation is coming for Hrithik Roshan’s action. However, on the flip side, many feel it’s a case of style over substance, and a few viewers complained that the film leaned too heavily on star power rather than offering fresh storytelling
War 2 Trailer
War 2 Trailer created havoc on the screen when it was released because it was fans’ favourite JR NTR against Hrithik Roshan. The internet was flooded with positive reviews and support from the fans. One must go through the War 2 trailer before booking the tickets.
Baap of Movies Final Take – War 2 Review Conclusion
All in all, War 2 has to be on your watchlist if you are a JR NTR or Hrithik Roshan fan. War 2 is a visual treat that thrives on its lead actors’ charisma and cinematic scale. However, sometimes the War 2 story may feel predictable, and questionable VFX hold it back from being a truly great spy thriller.
Verdict: War 2 is all about Hrithik and NTR’s on-screen chemistry and some standout moments; watch it for them. However, temper expectations if you’re looking for a gripping, innovative narrative.
