The Zach Cregger-directed, written, and produced much-awaited horror mystery film “Weapons” debuted at the Indian box office with a below-par opening, roughly in the range of Rs 0.65-0.75 Cr (US$ 80K) net in India. Despite strong pre-release buzz, the film’s debut numbers were disappointing. It began the massive Indian market journey with other Hollywood releases like “The Home”, “Sorry, Baby”, “Together” and others, but notably the horror film secured the top score among the releases, as per the reputed Indian box office tracker Sacnilk.Com, which hinted that there is a possibility it could see a solid surge in the weekend days.
