On Monday, 21st April 2025, production house Yash Raj Films took to Twitter and officially announced the versatile Rani Mukerji-led sequel to 2014’s Mardaani 2, locked to roar on the silver screens from 27th February, 2026, directed by Abhiraj Minawala, who worked as an associate director in “WAR 2”. The banner made this huge announcement with the caption: “The countdown begins for #Mardaani3! On Holi, good will fight evil as Shivani Shivaji Roy returns to the big screen on February 27, 2026.”
