Will Sitaare Zameen Par Be Delayed?: The dynamic Aamir Khan is back after 2022’s Laal Singh Chaddha with the sports comedy-drama “Sitaare Zameen Par“, a spiritual successor to Khan’s 2007 critically acclaimed Taare Zameen Par, scheduled to grace the silver screens on 20 June 2025 under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions. The sports drama is to revolve around specially abled children uplifted by a talented coach. Just a few days ahead of the grand debut, it’s yet to be cleared by the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification), as the suggested cuts raise disputes for CBFC clearance; scroll down for the detailed report.
Will Sitaare Zameen Par Be Delayed?
The reputed news portal Bollywood Hungama recently reported that the veteran Aamir Khan and director R. S. Prasanna planfully made the film, keeping in mind censor-friendly scenes and dialogues, and were expected not to have any cuts. But unfortunately, CBFC reportedly instructed the makers for two cuts (the exact CBFC cut details are yet under wraps), which raises a slight dispute between makers and the CBFC board. Due to Mr Perfectionist not agreeing with the CBFC’s decision, the release date of the film might be delayed (the official confirmation has yet to come). Aamir Khan meets the censor exam committee today (16th June); the official report is yet to come out.
