‘Cocktail 2’ Receives A Certificate From Censor: The acclaimed Cocktail film series returns with its second installment over a decade after its first installment’s success, and Cocktail 2 has officially concluded its censorship formalities, being awarded an ‘A‘ certificate, marking the first ever adult-rated film for Kriti Sanon in his long 12-year career. This time Shahid Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Kriti Sanon take the lead roles and are headed to hit the silver screens this coming Friday, on June 19, 2026.
Cocktail 2 Censor Certificate
Reportedly, Cocktail 2 advance booking has begun in full from June 14 onwards. Following this news, another exclusive development came to light that the rom-com received a green signal from the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification). The film has been awarded an ‘A’ certificate and is said to have a runtime of 150 minutes (2 hr 30 min).

Receiving an ‘A’ rating for Cocktail 2 became the first-ever adult-rated film for Kriti Sanon. On the other hand, it’s the second time for Rashmika Mandanna, after the brutal actioner Animal (2023), and the 5th time for Shahid Kapoor‘s career, following Kaminey (2009), Udta Punjab (2016), Kabir Singh (2019), and O’Romeo (2026).

Directed by Homi Adajania, the Hindi rom-com was written by Tarun Jain & Luv Ranjan and backed by Dinesh Vijan, Luv Ranjan, Pramita R Vijan, and Ankur Garg. Santhana Krishnan Ravichandran handled the cinematography, which was edited by Akshara Prabhakar and had music composed by Pritam.
