Awarapan 2 Teaser Review: The much-awaited teaser of “Awarapan 2” has been officially unveiled by the makers, which serves as a sequel to 2007’s “Awarapan” by Mohit Suri.
Makers strategically unveiled the teaser with the 19th anniversary of the 2007 prequel. The glimpse showcases Emraan Hashmi reprising his iconic role, Shivam, and his emotional & intensity-packed journey delivers a nostalgic feeling, especially since the reprised version of the “Toh Phir Aao” song is featured. The film is scheduled to release on August 14, 2026, during the Independence Day weekend and is all set to clash with Sunny Deol’s upcoming “Batwara 1947.”

The 1 minute and 45 seconds long ‘Awarapan 2’ teaser reveals Emraan Hashmi as Shivam makes a powerful comeback. He is offering homage at the grave of Aaliyah Hamid (played by Shriya Saran) in Awarapan. This revelation hints that the sequel will have a strong emotional connection with its predecessor.
Shivam’s character is set to return with enriched madness, as he is determined to either perish or lose his awarapan (craziness). Haunted by grief and loss, he is searching for a purpose for his life.

The teaser also reveals Disha Patani‘s character, who is expected to play Shivam’s love interest. Shabana Azmi will play a crucial role in the film.

The much-awaited Hindi action drama romance sequel is directed by Nitin Kakkar, the plot is penned by Bilal Siddiqi, and the dialogues are by Sanjay Masoomm. Mukesh Bhatt & Vishesh Bhatt jointly backed the film, and stars teamed up with the film, including Hashmi, Disha Patani, Shabana Azmi, Salil Acharya, and several others.
