How Did X-Men Return to the MCU?
X-Men characters have made numerous appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). It has Professor Xavier, who was played by Patrick Stewart, in the recent Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Another appearance was made by Kelsey Grammer as Beast. However, the return of the X-Men to the MCU was made possible thanks to Deadpool & Wolverine. It has served as a bridge between the two universes.
Deadpool & Wolverine is only the beginning, as Marvel’s upcoming Avengers: Doomsday film is set to bring the mutant heroes to the center of the MCU. The movie will also feature the return of several legacy actors, including Patrick Stewart, Kelsey Grammer, Ian McKellen, James Marsden, Alan Cumming, and Rebecca Romijn.

The Future of Marvel’s Mutant Superheroes
X-Men was once one of the highest-grossing film series, with a slew of successful films, including the original trilogy and the prequel with James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender. The X-Men series also launched Hugh Jackman’s career as Wolverine. Even though the first X-Men film was released in 2000, this superhero team had its peak in the mid-2010s.
However, the success of the X-Men movies gradually declined with the release of Dark Phoenix and The New Mutants, which both received unfavourable critic reviews. It seems unlikely that Disney will make another attempt to reboot the X-Men, given that they already have Marvel Studios at their disposal, which has the potential to generate even greater success.
