Directed by Shailesh Baliram Narwade, the Marathi film “Jayanti 2” serves as a direct sequel to the critically praised 2021 film Jayanti. The social drama was released in theatres on Friday, September 11, 2026, under the banner of Meliorist Film Studio. The Ruturaj Wankhede starrer film has registered ₹10 lakh (as per Sacnilk) net at the domestic box office, which is a massive 900% bigger opening than the sequel Jayanti (₹1 lakh).
Alongside Ruturaj Wankhede, the film has other ensemble stars Priyadarshini Indalkar, Payal Jadhav, Rohini Hattangady, Devika Daftardar, Vijay Nikam, Rajkumar Jarange, and Manasi Subhash. Sanjivkumar Hilli handled the cinematography, edited by Faisal Mahadik, and the music was delivered by Onkarswaroop.
