Daayra Twitter Review
#DaayraReview: DISTURBING & HARD-HITTING CINEMA!
Rating: 4/5
The pre-climax scene of #Daayra will leave you NUMB for sure. The parallel storytelling of a cruelty and justice is where it becomes an ABSOLUTE CINEMA!
#MeghnaGulzar knows what the true storytelling means. In #Talvar, she exposed the entire system and now in Daayra, she does it again but in a different style. You’ll hate what’s happening out there and yet there is no justice and when the justice is done, there are questions over it too.
#DaayraReview: SOLID THRILLER
Rating – 3.5/5
Meghna Gulzar is BACK WITH A BANG in the thriller genre after Talvar. #Daayra is a gripping, disturbing and hard-hitting thriller that keeps you hooked and booked from start to finish. The film takes a sensitive case involving crime, rape, murder and justice and builds it around one difficult question ,what happens when instant justice clashes with the law?
What makes the film work is that it doesn’t simply take one side. You are made to understand both #PrithvirajSukumaran and #KareenaKapoorKhan’s perspectives, and slowly you find yourself questioning your own stand….
#Daayra: 3.5 stars. A solid police procedural drama that questions the morality behind encounter killings. Inspired from the 2019 Hyderabad gang rape and murder case, Meghna Gulzar’s film never runs out of steam as it switches back and forth between a tight investigative thriller and a social commentary on law and justice. It beautifully blends both the genres, courtesy of the contrasting characters played by
@PrithviOfficial and Kareena – both police officers who look at a crime from different standpoints. The scene between them beautifully sums up the film without forcing an opinion for the sake of it.
#Daayra [4/5]
RIVETING!
A gripping investigative thriller backed by a solid police procedural.
Instant Justice vs Law taking its own course..
The case is very similar to the 2019 Telangana Vetenary doctor rape – murder – encounter case..
Rape, murder and encounter — the film navigates a hard-hitting case with tension and intensity throughout….
#Daayra Review – (Watched at Delhi Premiere Show – PVR Delhi) OG #Prithviraj is back. After a Long phase of disapointments, he is back with a bang. This time he doesn’t flex his muscles but exhibits a colossal acting with emotional and expressiveness. #KareenaKapoor takes a cakewalk with her neat performance. The film starts on a slightly slow pace but gradually gains momentum. Well this isn’t a mere thriller, but keeps hitting you emotionally in many places, especially in climax and the last shot in particular….
