The Premise

‘The Vvaan’ plot follows a Rishi (played by Sidharth Malhotra), who shifted from Devanchal to Mumbai and lived with his wife, Mamta (played by Tamannaah Bhatia). Despite his brother inviting him to his hometown over the years to celebrate the iconic Chhath Puja, he hasn’t attended even once.

This year Rishi changes his plan and decides to arrive at Devanchal, but there is another reason behind his home return regarding his land challenges. There is a proposal to build a road through a forest near the village. At the heart of the village lies Dev Van, a sacred and mysterious forest, followed by a strict rule: no human must enter after sundown. Rishi decides to decline the village rule and supports Deepak (Sunil Grover), who is also supporting this road development. What will happen next?

• The Panchayat fame Deepak Kumar Mishra did a good job.
• Arunabh Kumar‘s story places folklore and fantasy, which is a unique concept in mainstream Hindi cinema.
• Anandeshwar Dwivedi & Arunabh Kumar‘s dialogues are worth noting. The comic dialogues are lands well, especially Maniesh Paul’s portion.
• Tamannaah Bhatia‘s performance is remarkable; compared to the lead, Sidharth Malhotra‘s performance could have been better.
• Sandeep Shirodkar‘s BGM (background music) hits perfectly as the requirement. Alongside ‘Chhathi Maiya’ and ‘Samjho Na,’ songs stand out.
