Jailer 2 Trailer Review: The trailer for superstar Rajinikanth’s highly anticipated sequel, Jailer 2, has officially been launched by the makers and promises more of the darker and brutal side of Tiger Muthuvel Pandian. Helmed & penned by Nelson Dilipkumar, the sequel to Jailer (2023) is locked to make the grand theatrical entry at the worldwide theatres on 15 October 2026.
Alongside the superstar, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Mirnaa, and Rithvik reprising their roles, and the new big faces jointly force with the film are S. J. Suryah, Mithun Chakraborty, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Ramya Krishnan, Vidya Balan, Anna Rajan, and Jatin Sarna.
Jailer 2 Trailer Overview
The 2.24-minute-wide Jailer 2 trailer keeps Rajinikanth as Muthuvel Pandian at the center of the plot. His portrayal is revealed in the trailer in a more intense and brutal way. While in the first installment, his character was shown leading a peaceful life, but his son’s abduction pushed his life into a dangerous confrontation to save his family.
In the sequel, this confrontation takes a fierce look as it introduces a formidable group of rivals. The powerful action sequences and Rajinikanth’s larger-than-life appearance indicate a box office tsunami is loading.

Jailer 2, which serves as the sequel to 2023’s blockbuster Jailer, was written & directed by Nelson, with power from Anirudh Ravichander’s strong music, Vijay Kartik Kannan serves as cinematographer, and R. Nirmal edited it. Kalanithi Maran financed the film, which is locked to release on October 15, under the banner of Sun Pictures.
