Hansal Mehta helmed the web series Scoop, streaming on Netflix, which is based on the real-life story of Mumbai crime journalist Jyotirmoy Dey. The film started streaming on the 12th anniversary of Jyotirmoy Dey’s demise. The series was made to remind him and also revive the gory end of the omnipresent mafia.

Scoop Web Series Plot
The series contains 6 episodes, and every episode lasts for an hour. Jigna Vora’s 2019 memoir, ‘Behind Bars in Byculla: My Days in Prison,” tells us about the murder of one of the best crime journalists and crime reporters of Mid-Day (a renowned news organization), Jyotirmoy Dey through this series. Jaideb Sen (Prosenjit Chatterjee) was murdered by Mumbai gangster Chhota Rajan’s men in the broud of daylight.
On the other hand, the focus went to senior reporter Jagruti Pathak (Karishma Tanna), who is a divorced single mother staying with her Gujarati family. Her first priority was her job as a crime reporter. She always presented attractive news for the front page of the newspaper. She always deals with her sources first as humans, then as informants, and after her hard work, she gets a superior designation, which was the reason some of her colleagues were jealous, but she still stays right on track. But the murder of Jaideb Sen, ruines her career, along with she faces many challenges.

Karishma Tanna as Jagruti Pathak gave her best ever performance in her entire career, and the whole team did an incredible job. The series contains six episodes, and every episode is an hour long, but every single moment is full of excitement.
