Kangana Ranaut fronted Emergency trailer unveils: As India prepares to grandly celebrate 78th Independence Day, the filmmaker, actor, and member of parliament, Kangana Ranaut, takes this significant moment to unveil her upcoming much-awaited biopic political drama film Emergency trailer, to remind the darkest darkest chapter of Indian democracy post-independence history.
Ranaut, who directed, wrote, and played a key role in the film, alongside the film also featuring Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Milind Soman, and Mahima Choudhry in the crucial roles. The biopic is slated to release on September 6th, under the banners Zed Studios and Manikarnika Films.

The 2.53-minute-long trailer delivers some powerful glimpses, which show the most powerful woman in Indian history, former prime minister Indira Gandhi, as well as how she handled some hard situations, like going to Assam and preventing it from another Kashmir, and the Indo-Pakistan war, but her 21 months of emergency events wrote the darkest chapter of Indian history of democracy.
Alongside, it also shows a few glimpses of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. The trailer is hinting that it is not just going to historical recounting but also going to showcase the devastating consequences of authoritarian rule.
