Ravi Teja’s Mr Bachchan OTT release date locks: People Media Factory, T-Series Films, and Panorama Studios jointly produced, and Ravi Teja led the Telugu action entertainer “Mr. Bachchan,” based on Raj Kumar Gupta’s directorial, and Ritesh Shah wrote 2018’s Hindi blockbuster “Raid.” Before completing a month, the film is locked for an OTT debut from 12th September on Netflix India South, in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.
The reason behind this early OTT release is the box office failure. According to the industry tracker Sacnilk.com, the Harish Shankar-directed and written film managed only Rs 14 crores gross globally within its lifetime box office run, while it was made with a budget of around Rs 70 crores (as per the OTT play report).

On 7th September, Netflix India South officially confirmed the news with a poster on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi/Vinayaka Chavithi and gave captioned: “Sarihaddhu ni kaapade sainikuduni choosuntaru, sampadha ni kaapade sainikuduni ippudu choostharu. (They used to see the soldier guarding the border, now they see the soldier guarding the wealth) #MrBachchan is coming to Netflix on 12 September in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada!”
According to the news portal OTT Play report, the production house People Media Factory sold Mr. Bachchan’s OTT rights to Netflix with a substantial Rs 33 crores, and it became the highest-ever deal for a Ravi Teja-led film, despite being commercially unsuccessful.
