Mufasa-The Lion King first poster featuring SRK out: Walt Disney Pictures‘ much-anticipated family entertainer, Mufasa: The Lion King’s first-ever poster featuring the King Khan of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, is out now. The Barry Jenkins directorial musical drama film is slated to hit the big screen this Christmas on the 20th of December, 2024, globally, in India; for its wide reach, it will be released in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages. Makers also drop a new video clip, showcasing how SRK relates to the character Mufasa.

Today, 3rd December, Disney Films India officially took to the Instagram handle and shared the inaugural look of Shah Rukh Khan and captioned it: “There can only be ONE Lion King, and it is HIM! 🦁👑 Watch Mufasa The Lion King in cinemas from 20th December”
Alongside Makers also reveals a glimpse of Shah Rukh Khan, who shares that this journey began from Jawan, where father and son relations have been shown, but the director of the film, Atlee, said they will transform it into Mufasa and Simba. He also describes the character of Mufasa, who is kind, strong, powerful, sweet, and a family-orientated person; simultaneously, he also tells how he relates to, when he was young, his hair was quite similar to Mufasa’s.

The musical drama film was directed by Barry Jenkins, with a screenplay by Jeff Nathanson, and based on Disney‘s The Lion King by Irene Mecchi, Jonathan Roberts, and Linda Woolverton. For the Hindi version, cast members lent their voices to the film: Shah Rukh Khan as Mufasa, Aryan Khan as Simba, AbRam Khan as Young Mufasa, Sanjay Mishra as Pumbaa, and Shreyas Talpade as Timon.
