The South Korean rom-com TV series was helmed by Jang Young-woo & Kim Hee-won, with the story penned by Park Ji-Eun and created by the writer herself, Jang Young-woo, and Kim Hee-won. Stars teamed up in the show are Kim Soo-hyun, Kim Ji-won, Park Sung-hoon, & others, and it started premiering from March 9 to April 28, 2024, on TVING in South Korea, and on Netflix in selected regions, with 16 episodes, alongside 2 more special episodes also being added. All the episodes run around 80-90 minutes.
It was received humongous success in South Korea, and became the highest-rated TVN series (South Korean nationwide pay television network), surpassing Crash Landing on You. Simultaneously, for viewership rating, it registered as the third highest-rated series in Korean cable television history and became the second highest by number of viewers.
2. Marry My Husband
This rom-com, revenge, fantasy, workplace, time travel series was created by Studio Dragon, based on a similarly titled book authored by Sung So-jak, directed by Park Won-guk and Han Jin-seon, and the plot was penned by Shin Yoo-dam. Stars of the show are ensemble Park Min-young, Na In-woo, Lee Yi-Kyung, and Song Ha-yoon. This 16-episode series started streaming from January 1 to February 20, 2024, on TVING in South Korea and Amazon Prime Video in selected regions globally, excluding South Korea and China, with all the episodes having a runtime of 70 minutes. On the reputed news portal IMDb, it secured a 7.8 rating out of 10, based on 7,681 individual views.
3. 3 Body Problem
This American sci-fi, fantasy, drama, and mystery thriller TV show was created by David Benioff, D. B. Weiss, & Alexander Woo, based on the novel series Remembrance of Earth’s Past, by Chinese writer and former computer engineer Liu Cixin. Stars teamed up with the film are Jovan Adepo, John Bradley, Rosalind Chao, Liam Cunningham, Eiza González, and others. The title of the series comes from the first volume, The Three-Body Problem, of the novel series. This inaugural season was comprised of 8 episodes, which started streaming on March 21, 2024, and was marked as the 10th most googled show in India in 2024, just after Bigg Boss 18, hosted by Salman Khan.
