Awarapan 2 Censor Certificate: Emraan Hashmi is set to return to the big screen with “Awarapan 2,” which serves as the sequel to the 2007 cult film Awarapan. Directed by Nitin Kakkar, the film is scheduled to release on this Independence weekend, on 14 August 2026, set to clash with Sunny Deol’s film “Batwara 1947“. Ahead of the grand theatrical debut, the film has officially passed the censor certification process and has been awarded a ‘UA 16+’ certificate from CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification).

Awarapan 2 CBFC Certificate and Runtime
The veteran film critic and business analyst Taran Adarsh exclusively reported today that Emraan Hashmi’s Awarapan 2 has officially passed the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) on August 5. Reportedly, the action drama sequel received a ‘UA 16+’ certificate and got approval of a crisp 140.20 minutes (2 hours, 20 minutes, 20 seconds) of theatrical runtime.
What Does the UA 16+ Certificate Mean for Awarapan 2?
The UA 16+ certificate will play a crucial role in the film’s theatrical classification. Under this certification, the 16 and above aged audiences can watch the film, and those under 16 years of age require adult accompaniment.
