Batwara 1947 Trailer Review: Sunny Deol starrer, much-anticipated periodic drama film “Batwara 1947” has officially been unveiled by the makers on Tuesday, July 28. Apart from Sunny Pajji, the other star-studded ensemble in the film are Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Karan Deol, Ali Fazal, Abhimanyu Singh, Khushi Hajare, and Kanikka Kapur.
The final glimpse promises a powerful blend of action and heartfelt emotion, which is headed to start roaring in theatres worldwide on July 14, 2026, coinciding with the Indo-Pakistan Partition Day.

The 2.59-minute-wide ‘Batwara 1947’ trailer kicked off with the celebration of Indian independence. But soon the celebration soon turned to violation as they learned the country was divided into two parts, and Sikander Mirza (played by Sunny Deol) & his wife Hamida Mirza (played by Preity Zinta) moved to Pakistan with their family.
Following the intense backdrop, Sunny Deol’s portrayal turned into Gadar mode to stand by his principles despite knowing he has to confront the several hurdles. The trailer once again showcases his steps into the shoes of a fearless protector. The strong mother-centric emotional thread in the trailer adds weight to the narrative and justifies the emotional core.

Directed & scripted by Rajkumar Santoshi, the upcoming Hindi drama is based on Asghar Wajahat’s play ‘Jis Lahore Nai Vekhya, O Jamya E Nai’, which is scheduled to release on 14 August. Aamir Khan & Aparna Purohit jointly backed the film, and dialogue was penned by Asghar Wajahat & Rajkumar Santoshi. Santosh Sivan handled the cinematography, which was edited by Shyam Salgaonkar, and the music composed by legendary A. R. Rahman.
