Border 2 first day advance booking: Sunny Deol’s long-anticipated epic action war film “Border 2“, which serves as the sequel to J. P. Dutta’s cult classic 1997 film Border, is gearing up to rewrite the box office history of Deol’s past blockbuster Gadar 2. The epic war drama film is gearing up to release on the big screens on 23 January 2026, on this Republic Day weekend.
Ahead of the grand debut, Border 2 already begins the explosion in the advance booking windows. Even with limited screens, it has already sold over 10K tickets. The full-fledged advance booking will commence today, on January 19, further raising expectations for a record-breaking opening.

According to the latest box office pre-booking report, on the reputed ticket booking platform Book My Show alone, Border 2 has sold over 10K tickets over 24 hours and grossed around Rs 23 lakh (excluding block seats), which clearly indicates a solid pre-release buzz.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan’s 2025 Eid release, “Sikandar”, in its limited screens pre-booking secured only 5.72K tickets (as per the Koimoi.com report). Notably, Border 2’s limited pre-booking sale is around 74.83% higher than Sikandar.
