The film on January 6th got clearance from the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification), with a U/A certificate. For the Censored the CBFC members, cut some brutal scenes for the certification process, chopped 4 minutes and 36 seconds from the original runtime, and approved it at 157 minutes and 50 seconds (2 hours, 37 minutes, and 50 seconds).
Captain Miller expected to release on 1200 screens in India
As per the latest news updates, the Tamil action adventure film is being released by KRG Studios in the domestic market, with the distributor releasing a narrow number of around 1200 screens in Karnataka and the rest of the country on the opening day due to the huge clash between “Ayalaan” and the Telugu biggies “HanuMan” and “Guntur Kaaram.” The overseas market is distributed by Lyca Productions and is expected to be released on around 100–200 screens.

Based on the Sacnilk.com tracking report, Captain Miller until January 11 at 6:04 p.m. has sold 160094 tickets from the Tamil 2D version worth ₹ 2.54 crore, the Hindi 2D version has sold 2012281 tickets worth ₹ 12.80K, the Tamil IMAX 2D has sold 4140 tickets, worth ₹ 17.24 Lac, the Kannada 2D version has sold 564 tickets, worth ₹ 92.57K, and the Hindi IMAX 2D has sold 80 tickets, which are worth ₹ 34.80K, and all assemble177686 tickets across the country, which are worth ₹ 2.93 crore gross (without block seats). As per the latest hype, the film targets an opening day of around ₹ 7 crore gross in India.
