DD Next Level global box office collection day 1: S. Prem Anand directed and wrote the Tamil comedy horror “Devil’s Double Next Level a.k.a DD Next Level“, led by Santhanam, Geethika Tiwary, Selvaraghavan and Gautham Vasudevn, which was released this Friday on 16th May 2025. It received mixed to negative reviews from moviegoers and critics for poor writing and screenplay, and on IMDb, it received a 7.5 rating based on 57 individual remarks.
Globally it began its box office journey with Rs 4 Cr gross, and in the Indian box office kicked off with Rs 3 Cr net, marked as the 6th top Tamil net opening number in 2025, just after the action comedy Madha Gaja Raja, which was also racked the similar number.

DD Next Level global box office collection day 1 hits Rs 4 Cr mark
According to the industry tracker Sacnilk.com report, Santhanam‘s horror comedy was open globally with a Rs 4.00 Cr gross number, out of the Indian market grossed Rs 3.45 Cr (Tamil Nadu: 3.05 Cr; Karnataka: 0.33 Cr; APTG: 0.02 Cr; Kerala: 0.02 Cr; and Rest of India: 0.03 Cr), and the overseas market added Rs 0.55 Cr gross. Despite receiving poor word of mouth, it is quite a good opening number for the film, suggesting Santhanam’s fan base and the horror-comedy genre’s appeal contributed to the initial turnout. How it performs on the weekend day will be crucial for its long-term box office trajectory.
