Ekaki Chapter 2: Arrival Review: After chapter 1’s good response, Ekaki Chapter 2: Arrival is back, and it has safely pushed Ashish Chanchlani’s horror-comedy experiment deeper into chaos. This second chapter, which aired on December 8, offers a perfect balance of banter, meta jokes, and some genuinely creepy moments inside a haunted villa that never lets the boys or the audience breathe. The second chapter is messy, but energetic and ambitious enough to keep you hooked till the end.

Story: A Chaotic Ride Through Ekaki Villa

The episode continues with the same seven friends trapped at Ekaki Villa. But now they are fully convinced that “kuch toh seriously gadbad hai” not just in the house, but in the entire village. The story, which started as a typical “boys on a trip” setup, has now taken a sharp turn into a paranoid and endless night where every small glitch in the form of flickering lights, moving paintings, the missing scarecrow, and the weird toll gate feels like a clue from an unseen presence.
This chapter feels more like a narrative than a random sketch because the gang’s series of solutions hilariously fails every time. The process of calling a mechanic and hunting for a one-rupee coin at a PCO is a laughter burst. The sequences involving the “Gen Z ghost” and planning like overexcited horror-movie nerds feel very childish, yet it is entertaining. The boys attempt everything yet remain stuck exactly where they began: trapped inside Ekaki.
Ekaki 2 Highlights and Standout Moments
1. Aryan’s Living Room Meltdown
The long living-room scene, which involves Aryan trying to convince his friends that “we are not alone,” while everyone else cracks bizarre math like “50 log – 51 log” is classic Ashish chaos.
2. The “Gen Z Ghost” Theory
The smartest comic ideas in the episode were when we saw the crew decoding the ghost’s personality from modern glitches. We saw the scenes involving shifting paintings, flickering lights, speaker malfunctions, and dramatic screams. It was much needed, as it adds a fresh twist to the haunting.
3. The PCO & Coin Hunt Loop
The absurd loop – pana kahan se aayega → mechanic se → mechanic kahan se aayega → phone se → phone kahan se aayega → PCO se – is very funny, and it turns stupidity into clever circular comedy.
4. Strong Technical Touches
Ekaki Chapter 2 is supported by a very premium design and POV shots that make the villa feel alive and watching.
What Works Well
Strong Group Chemistry
Ashish, Akash, Sidhant, Harsh, and the rest look very natural. Their natural comfort is the reason why even loud and juvenile jokes feel believable and fun.
Balanced Horror-Comedy Tone
Compared to Chapter 1, the horror feels more integrated this time. The sequences involving the scarecrow subplot, the strange villagers, and the eerie atmosphere of the village are amazing, as they add an extra depth to the comedy.
Where It Stumbles

Overstretched Banter
Several jokes are boring, and it feels like the same lines are repeated louder, especially in group scenes.
Hit-or-Miss Humour
Some punchlines feel dragged or forced. Some of the meta insults and repeated “beizzati” jokes appear to be in a loop with no background.
Sudden Tonal Shifts
There are some abrupt jumps between goofy comedy and serious horror that disrupt immersion.
Final Verdict
Ekaki Chapter 2: Arrival is much better than Ekaki Chapter 1. It is an entertaining, chaotic horror-comedy that looks to expand the Ekaki universe as it raises curiosity for future chapters. It has some brilliant moments, a few tiring ones, but overall it tries to deliver a fun and engaging watch.
