Gulshan Devaiah ropes in Kantara Chapter 1: The versatile Rishab Shetty directed, wrote, and led featuring highly anticipated Kannada mythological action drama “Kantara: Chapter 1,” gearing up to start roaring on the silver screens on 2nd October 2025. Following the other co-stars Jayaram, Rakesh Poojari & Rukmini Vasanth, the makers now officially confirmed Bollywood actor Gulshan Devaiah is roped in for the mythological action drama. Production house Hombale Films officially took to the social media handles and dropped the first look of Devaiah as Kulashekara.

On Tuesday, 19th August, the renowned production house Hombale Films took to X (formerly Twitter), sharing the first-look poster of Gulshan Devaiah, and captioned it: “Introducing@gulshandevaiah as ‘KULASHEKARA’ from the world of #KantaraChapter1. In Cinemas #KantaraChapter1onOct2”
The poster showcases the majestic royal avatar of Gulshan Devaiah adorned with jewels and a crown, hinting that he is going to play the role of a king from the world of Kantara. The 2022 prequel Kantara: A Legend created havoc at the box office, resulting from the announcement day of Kantara: Chapter 1 making headlines.

The Pan-Indian mythological action drama was directed and written by Rishab Shetty, financed by Vijay Kiragandur & Chaluve Gowda, and stars teamed up with the film are Rishab Shetty, Jayaram and others. Arvind Kashyap handled the cinematography, with music composed by B. Ajaneesh Loknath, and it is set to release on 2 October, under the banner of Hombale Films.
