The OTT streaming giant Netflix India is thoroughly annexed to the pipeline of highly anticipated films regarding OTT rights. Today, January 17th, Netflix India confirmed another hugely anticipated film by Kamal Haasan, “Indian 2.” The much-anticipated Tamil-language vigilante action film is gearing up to release this summer, tentatively April–June 2024, in global theaters.

As per the latest Instagram report, Indian 2 will premiere on Netflix in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi after its theatrical release. Based on the Times of India report, the makers have sold the OTT rights for a handsome amount of ₹ 200 crore (US$25 million). The OTT giant has not revealed the confirmed streaming date, but if the film is released on April 12, 2024, there is high expectation that it can debut on OTT around August or September (tentatively).
