Over the last few days, the reports suggest a possible postponement of the film. Putting an end to these speculations, the production house Sun Pictures officially ended these rumours by officially reaffirming the release date on 15 October 2026.

Jailer 2 Release Date Remains October 15

In the past few days, there have been some reports coming that Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 may not meet the makers’ anticipation of the Dasara festival release plan due to the reason that the makers are aiming to push the release date towards November 2026. Alongside many others, speculations are surrounding the Jailer 2 movie release date.

But, on Wednesday, September 2, the production house Sun Pictures officially took a firm step, as the banner reconfirmed the release date with a brand-new poster, which showcases Rajinikanth’s powerful look, holding a gun. The post also confirmed that the film will arrive on the previous announced date on 15 October 2026.

The much-awaited Tamil action comedy sequel was helmed and penned by Nelson Dilipkumar, backed by Kalanithi Maran. Including superstar Rajinikanth, the film also stars S. J. Suryah, Mithun Chakraborty, Vidya Balan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Anna Rajan, and Jatin Sarna in prominent roles. Alongside the prominent stars, the film is also graced by the cameo appearance of Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Jackie Shroff, Hrithik Roshan, Vijay Sethupathi, and others.
