Maidaan Box Office Collection Day 1: The long-awaited biographical sports drama, directed by National Award winner Amit Sharma and written by Saiwyn Quadras, Akash Chawla, and Arunava Joy Sengupta, has arrived in cinemas in full force on April 11th. The special paid preview was opened on April 10th, after 6 o’clock shows. Featuring an ensemble with the film Ajay Devgn, after a phenomenal performance in Shaitaan, which grossed over Rs 200 crore at the global box office, alongside Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, Devyansh Tripathi, Nitanshi Goel, and others. The Biopic received extremely positive reviews from critics and moviegoers.
Maidaan Opening Day Domestic Occupancy Report
According to the Indian market tracker Sacnilk.com, the film had an overall 14.56% Hindi 2D occupancy across the domestic theaters on opening day. Morning show footfalls were 9.91%, afternoon show footfalls were 16.69%, followed by evening and night show footfalls of 16.84% and 14.78%, respectively.
On the other hand, in the Hindi IMAX 2D format, the film had an overall 19.12% occupancy, based on only morning and afternoon shows across the country. Morning shows footfalls were 16.15%, and afternoon shows footfalls were 22.09%.
And in the Hindi ICE format, based on morning and afternoon shows, the overall occupancy was 31.00%. Morning shows footfalls were 15.00%, and the afternon-Shows footfalls were 47.00%.

As per the latest report coming out, Maidaan had sold 48.15K tickets in the last 24 hours alone on the Book My Show. It has estimated a decent amount in the range of ₹ 4.50 – ₹ 5.00 Cr on the opening day, and it generated roughly ₹ 2.6 Cr on April 10th, paid previews, and took the total India net to ₹ 7.10 – ₹ 7.6 Cr.
