On the opening day, due to its immense early buzz and after-release positive word of mouth all across, it racked up an impressive Rs 13 Cr net in India, marking one of the biggest opening-day scores for a Tollywood movie in 2025 so far.

Teja Sajja’s Mirai Enters Top 10 Telugu Openers of 2025
The Hanuman actor Teja Sajja‘s highly anticipated film Mirai is receiving praise for its breathtaking visuals on just a Rs 50 Cr (as per-123Telugu.com) budget and remarkable performances. Despite the decent domestic pre-booking, just based on the positive reviews, it managed an excellent Rs 13 Cr net in India on the first day. The original Telugu version alone contributed a handsome Rs 11.15 Cr, which marks it as the 10th top Telugu opening film in 2025 so far, just behind Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi’s Thandel (Rs 11.30 C), according to the Sacnilk.com.

According to the industry tracker Sacnilk.com report, Mirai had a solid 68.59% overall occupancy in the original Telugu version, followed by the Hindi version occupancy at 10.86%, due to multiple Bollywood releases. The Tamil version overall occupancy was 19.50%, the Kannada version occupancy was 5.86%, and the Malayalam version overall footfall was quite good at 16.69%.
