Mr X Box Office Collection Day 1: Arya’s latest release, the Tamil spy action thriller “Mr X“, hit the big screens on April 17, 2026, under the banners of Prince Pictures & Maverik Movies Pvt Ltd. The film has registered a modest ₹65 lakh on the opening day at the Indian box office. Despite a slow start, the film has managed to outperform the Tamil version’s opening of The Raja Saab (₹55 lakh).

Directed and written by Manu Anand, the Tamil entertainer Mr X reportedly debuted at the Indian box office with ₹65 lakh net in India. Out of the opening day figure, ₹60 lakh was contributed by the original Tamil version, and the rest, ₹5 lakh, was added by the Telugu version (as per Sacnilk.com).
With this Tamil version score of ₹60 lakh, Mr X becomes the 10th top Tamil opening film in 2026 so far, just behind Leader (₹75 lakh). Driven by the mixed word of mouth, the film debuted with this decent number. Hopefully it will witness a notable surge on the weekend days.
