Satluj Removed From ZEE5 Worldwide: The biographical drama “Satluj,” led by Diljit Dosanjh, has once again come into the limelight as it has been pulled off ZEE5 globally. The movie, which had already been pulled from India’s ZEE5 just two days after its digital premiere, has now also been pulled off the streaming website for the international audience.
ZEE5 Pulls Satluj Off International Streaming
Satluj, directed by Honey Trehan, had premiered on ZEE5 on July 3, 2026, after several title changes and postponements. But the film went missing on the site in India on July 5, with the platform saying that it would not be available anymore because of “current developments.”
Now, ZEE5 has even decided to remove the film from its international streaming library.
In an official statement, a spokesperson for ZEE5 Global said that while the platform is always committed to bringing stories that matter to its users, it is not able to provide Satluj to its audiences because of “certain developments that have happened outside our control.”

Punjab ’95 changed its title to Satluj and revolves around human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, played by actor Diljit Dosanjh. Khalra gained popularity through his investigations about disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and cremations that took place during the militant era of Punjab.
Certification of the film took quite a long time in the history of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), close to three years. In the process, the film was changed several times, including naming it Ghalughara before settling for Satluj.
Satluj was also supposed to be shown at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in 2023 but was later withdrawn from the schedule.
Stellar Cast and Unpredictable Future
Apart from Diljit Dosanjh, other stars who appear in the film are Arjun Rampal, Suvinder Vicky, and Geetika Vidya Ohlyan. Even though the movie bypassed theatrical screening and chose to show it directly on OTT platforms, the movie was pulled off after a few days of its release.
To date, there is no news regarding the release date and the possibility of Satluj being back on the digital platform. Fans both in India and abroad are eagerly awaiting more news about the movie.
Conclusion
The removal of Diljit Dosanjh’s Satluj from the digital platform of ZEE5 globally is yet another interesting chapter of this highly controversial movie’s long struggle.Â
