The Gadar 2 actor, Sunny Deol, is once again coming back with the iconic sequel, “Border 2,” after the massive success of Gadar Sequel, was released in 2024, reunited with filmmaker J. P. Dutta. Today, June 13th, Superhit film “Border” was released in 1997, has completed 27 years. To showcase this special moment, makers finally confirmed the sequel with an announcement video.

On Thursday, Sunny Deol took to Instagram and shared the much anticipated Iconic Sequel Border 2’s announcement video, captioning it: “Ek fauji apne 27 saal purane waade ko pura karne, aa raha hai phirse. (A soldier is coming again to fulfill his 27 year old promise) India’s biggest war film, #Border2 🇮🇳.
The announcement video ended with the touching iconic song “Sandese Aate Hain,” with vocals by Roopkumar Rathod and Sonu Nigam.
When Border 2 Set To Release?
Sunny Deol also shares about the cast and crew of the film, which will be helmed by Anurag Singh and backed by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta. According to the Pinkvilla news report, the makers are targeting to bring the venture to moviegoers on Republic Day 2026 (January 26), under the banners T-Series and JP Films. The dynamic Ayushmann Khurrana is going to team up with Sunny Paaji for the sequel.
Jackie Shroff Celebrating 27 Years of Border
Jackie Shroff, who portrayed Wing Commander Andy Bajwa in India’s biggest war film, “Border,” recently shared a video on his Twitter handle from the film to celebrate the 27th anniversary of the film. He also tagged the video with Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, Pooja Bhatt, Tabu, Akshaye Khanna, and the filmmaker J. P. Dutta.
