Suriya’s Kanguva OTT streaming date locked: Siva directed the epic fantasy action entertainer “Kanguva,” featuring Suriya in dual roles, alongside Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, Natarajan Subramaniam, and others, which debuted in the global theatres on 14 November, under the banners Studio Green and UV Creations. It received mixed reviews from the moviegoers and critics; as a result, before completing a month, it is locked to premiere on Amazon Prime Video from 8th December 2024.
According to the industry tracker Sacnilk.com report, Kanguva grossed a poor Rs 106.64 Cr (India: 82.64 Cr; Overseas: 24 Cr) at the worldwide box office.

Yesterday, 6th December, Prime Video India officially took to the Twitter handle and announced Suriya’s latest PAN Indian film, Kanguva’s digital release date, and captioned the post: “A tale as old as time & a LEGACY that lives on KANGUVA arrives to settle it all, #KanguvaOnPrime, Dec 8.” As per the reputed news portal Times of India report, Prime Video made the OTT deal around Rs 100 Cr, which marks Suriya’s career-highest deal.

The Siva-directed epic action entertainer is backed by K. E. Gnanavel Raja, V. Vamsi Krishna Reddy, and Pramod Uppalapati, with dialogues penned by Madhan Karky and the script penned by the director himself with Adhi Narayana. Vetri Palanisamy handled the cinematography, edited by Nishadh Yusuf, and music composed by dynamic Devi Sri Prasad.
