According to the early trend report by the industry tracker Sacnilk.com, the Telugu entertainer Thandel began its box office journey with a notable Rs 10-11 Cr net, out of which the Telugu version scored Rs 9.8 Cr, marking it as the 4th top opening film in 2025, just after Venkatesh’s Telugu action comedy film Sankranthiki Vasthunam (Rs 23 Cr).
On the other hand, it is also the first comeback of Naga Chaitanya after around 2 years of hiatus. He was last seen in 2023’s periodic action thriller Custody, which opened with a poor Rs 3.2 Cr net; this 2025’s action thriller’s score is 212% higher than Chaitanya’s last release in big screens.
