The GOAT opening day pre-booking report (4 days to go): Venkat Prabhu directed and wrote the highly anticipated sci-fi action flick The Goat, a.k.a. The Greatest of All Time, scheduled to make its grand debut in the worldwide theatres on September 5, with the ensemble stars Thalapathy Vijay in the double role, alongside Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, and Mohan in the crucial roles.
The film has already overcome the censor formalities on 21st August, was awarded U/A certification, and also got approval of 183 minutes (3 hours and 3 minutes) of theatrical runtime.

As per early the report, Venkat Prabhu directed and wrote movie makers were opened the advance booking on 30th August in the Chennai region, followed by today, on 1st September, makers opened the full-fledged advance booking nationwide.
According to the industry tracker Sacnilk.com report until 1st September, 3.02 p.m. IST, Vijay’s sci-fi actioner sells 76391 tickets only in Tamil 2D format, which are worth Rs 1.69 Cr (16945581) gross (excluding block seats).
If we have a look at the state-wise estimates, the Tamil Nadu state contributed Rs. 1.08 Cr gross (top advance booking region), followed by Karnataka state, which has grossed Rs 42.85 Lac, the Kerala region, Rs 18.72 Lac, and the Delhi region, which scores the lowest, Rs 38.14K.

The Tamil sci-fi action film was directed, story written, and dialogue co-wrote by Venkat Prabhu, financed by Kalpathi S. Aghoram, Kalpathi S. Ganesh, and Kalpathi S. Suresh.
