Vicky Kaushal once again comes back after the incredible success of the Rom-com film “Zara Hatke Zara Bachke,” in 2023. The film raised one of India’s most pressing issues; religious sectarianism. The Great Indian Family Plot Analysis
The film offers us the story of Ved Vyas Tripathi, AKA Bhajan Kumar (Vicky Kaushal), the son of Hindu preist Pandit Siya Ram Tripathi (Kumud Mishra), staying in Balrampur (very close to Ayodhya, who does Bhajan), and Keertan, who is a preist as well. He gains every knowledge that his parents thought of him except this; he also has another side, like lover Boy, and he also likes to hang out with friends. He is also full of mischievousness. But one day, something happened that shook his world.
Those who were close to him went far away, even though his family started to distance themselves from him. Will he get his family back? Will he resolve the trouble he is facing? Will his family accept him back?
The Great Indian Family Movie Review
Once again, Vicky Kaushal impressed us with a fantabulous screen presence on the very sensible facts. And the Thugs of Hindostan’s director Vijay Krishna Acharya come back in the directorial seat after 5 years of hiatus, which is worth it. The film brings many religions together in front of the modern generation and shows unity and diversity.
The makers bring Manushi Chhillar as Jasmeet, Bhajan Kumar’s love angel, but unfortunately, she is unable to bring that charm and impact to the film. One of the most interesting aspects of the film that deserves special mention is the method of resolving any sensitive issue in Bhajan Kumar’s family, which is inspired by the democratic system. Voting played an important role in reaching the verdict.
Baap of Movies Review
Overall, the characters Vicky Kaushal as Ved Vyas Tripathi/Bhajan Kumar, Manoj Pahwa as Balak Ram, Kumud Mishra as Pandit Siya Ram Tripathi, and Yashpal Sharma as Pandit Jagannath Mishra bring all the veterans together in a single venture, which is a really big thing for the film itself. Ayananka Bose’s cinematography is quite impactful, and Charu Shree Roy’s editing is praiseworthy. TGIF delivered a strong message to the modern age group, which will help them grow a mindset that no religion is more important than humanity.
