The Price of Confession Plot
The Price of Confession plot starts with a very ordinary evening in the life of An Yun-su (Jeon Do-yeon), who is a free-spirited art teacher, wife, and mother. Her world soon collapses as she finds her husband brutally stabbed in his studio. Things get more interesting, as there are no witnesses and circumstantial evidence mounting against her. Soon, Yun-su becomes the prime suspect and is imprisoned while awaiting trial.
Inside the prison, she meets Mo-eun (Kim Go-eun), who is a mysterious inmate accused of poisoning a wealthy couple. This was the same crime that earned Mo-eun the chilling nickname “The Witch”. Mo-eun proposes a dangerous deal: she will confess to murdering Yun-su’s husband, but she needs a dark favour later. This twisted proposition is the driver of the story, and it pushes the story into deeper psychological territory.
Soon, as the show moves forward, we are taken to prosecutor Baek Dong-hoon (Park Hae-soo), who becomes obsessed with Yun-su. The prosecutor is convinced that she’s not innocent despite Mo-eun’s confession. Meanwhile, Yun-su’s new lawyer, Jang Jeong-gu (Jin Seon-kyu), is trying his best to uncover the truth behind a web of lies.

The Price of Confession Cast Performances
The Price of Confession cast is one of the show’s biggest highlights.
- Jeon Do-yeon was amazing as she delivered a good mix of raw and layered portrayals of a woman who is broken by grief and fuelled by fierce maternal determination. Her performance was effortless, as it carries the emotional weight of the series.
