Thunderbolts OTT release date unveils: Here is the good news for the Marvel fans! The 36th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), “Thunderbolts*“, helmed by Jake Schreier, was released in USA and worldwide theatres on May 2, 2025; later it was rebranded by the team as the title “New Avengers“. While it premiered at the Empire Leicester Square, London, England, on 22nd April, and in India, it was released a day ahead of the grand USA debut, on 1st May 2025. After around 2 months of theatrical run, it started streaming on Prime Video and other digital platforms from 1st July 2025.

The final film of Phase Five of the MCU, Thunderbolts, started streaming on the OTT giant Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home from today, 1st July (Tuesday), onwards; initially, it is available for only digital purchase and rental, as USA Today reported recently. Now the MCU fans can experience this darker, emotionally layered superhero film on the small screens.

Jake Schreier’s helmed superhero film’s plot was penned by Eric Pearson, based on Marvel Comics, and backed by Kevin Feige. The star-studded ensemble with the film are Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, Wyatt Russell, Olga Kurylenko, Lewis Pullman and others. It was underperformed at the box office, grossing $381 million against a production budget of $180 million, marked as the eighth-highest-grossing film of 2025 so far.
