Vedaa movie review: Much deeper than the trailer has unveiled
Director Nikkhil Advani has done a great job, and writer Aseem Arora keeps the audience engaged with the extraordinary storyline. Many action films compromise with the script for the sake of action, but Vedaa has a powerful story to tell. The key character Sharvari Wagh’s transformation from a girl who faces social discrimination despite breaking down, stands back, and fights against injustice is impressive.
On the other hand, John Abraham’s crucial loss injected core emotion into the story, and on the other hand, his fiancé avatar was as usual top-grade. The talented actor Abhishek Banerjee, who also appeared in Stree 2 as a supporting role, was previously seen playing the supporting characters, but this time as the key antagonist, he just wreaked havoc. Notably, his bloodshot eyes and deadpan expression are just incredible.
Mouni Roy’s special appearance in the song “Mummy Ji” garnered attention. Kartik Shah’s BGM (background score) delivers the audience with a deep experience.
The first 30 minutes of the film look quite slow, which can be better. Except for Mouni Roy featuring Mummy Ji, the rest of the songs can be trimmed, and a few of the action sequences can be chopped. Overall, this is a must-watch social-action-drama film that offers a strong message.
