The Smile Man Storyline
The gripping tale followed a former cop, Chidambaram Nedumaaran (R. Sarathkumar), who is struggling with Alzheimer’s disease due to a car accident. He is back to resolve a case of a serial killer, well known as the Smile Man. The killer leaves behind a chilling signature by carving a distinctive ‘Smile Man’ mark on the victim’s face after the murder.

Post its theatrical run, R. Sarathkumar’s gripping crime thriller started streaming on Aha from January 24, 2025, exclusively in Tamil. To reach a broader audience, it’s now streaming with a run time of 1 hour and 55 minutes (115 minutes) on Ultra Play in the Hindi dubbed version with English subtitles. It’s worth adding that it won “Best Adventure” at the Famitsu Dengeki Awards and remarkably received a 7.5 rating on IMDb based on 1,754 individual remarks.
