7 Popular Actors Who Rejected Baahubali, Baahubali: The Conclusion, is the first Indian film to gross more than 1 billion rupees. The film was so popular that it was adopted as a wedding theme in Kerala. Baahubali: The Beginning was released in 2015, and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion was released four years later in 2017. The makers approached many famous Bollywood actors for this film, but they refused to do it. Today we will talk about actors who lost their golden ticket to act in a superhit film. Below is a list of actors who initially turned down the film for various reasons and now regret their decision.
#1.Hrithik Roshan
The film was originally intended to be released only in Bollywood, and Hrithik Roshan was offered the lead role. Rajamouli, the director, does not reveal the entire plot of the film he is directing before the actors commit to it, and he also wants the actors to make sure that they have an idea while working on their film. And don’t follow through on the promise. Hrithik turned down the film in favor of Mohenjo Daro.
#2.John Abraham
It would have been fun to see John Abraham in a villainous role. According to John Abraham‘s body fitness, Bhalladev’s role would have been cool if John had agreed, but I don’t know why he rejected the offer. Rajamouli submitted the script to John as he was his first choice for the role of Bhalladeva. After waiting for several days and getting no response, he gave the part to his second-best candidate, Rana Daggubati.
#3.Mohanlal
The role of Kattappa really felt awesome. Mohanlal was Rajamouli’s first choice as Kattappa in the Baahubali movie. There were rumors that Mohanlal, the face of the Malayalam cinema industry, was promised the role of Kattappa in the film. As Mohanlal did not have any dates available to do a large number of works, the role was given to Satya Raja.
#4.Nayanthara
You all must have liked the role of Guy’s Devasena. The way the love and attitude of Devasena have been shown are really commendable. And this character was also liked by the public. The South Indian beauty was also approached for the role of DevaSena, but she declined due to prior commitments, and Anushka Shetty was cast instead.
#5.Vivek Oberoi
You all might not know that Vivek Oberoi was also roped in to play Bhallaladeva. He refused such a good and big movie role; maybe he must have been worried about the king of dirty characters. However, the actor had many other commitments at the time, so he turned down the film.
#6.Sonam Kapoor
Sonam Kapoor was scouted for the role of Avantika, as the film was originally intended to be released only in Bollywood. However, the filmmaker required full-time work for two years for the film, which Sonam turned down.
#7.Sridevi
When Rajamouli approached Sridevi to play the role of Rajmata Sivagami Devi, she demanded a large sum of money as well as a full floor in a five-star hotel and a business class ticket from Mumbai to Hyderabad. When Rajamouli could not meet the demands, Sridevi turned down the film.
