Batwara 1947 Censor Certificate: Sunny Deol’s much-awaited Hindi film “Batwara 1947” has officially been cleared from the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) well in advance, around three weeks ahead of its grand entry in the cinemas on August 14, 2026. According to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) official website, Batwara 1947 received an ‘A‘ certificate (adults-only) on Thursday, July 23, weeks ahead of the grand theatrical debut. As per the report, the Aamir Khan & Aparna Purohit-backed film also got approval of 145.34 minutes of theatrical runtime, in other words, 2 hours, 25 minutes, and 34 seconds.

Despite Sunny Deol’s starrer film containing several actions & violence, their first focus is still the family audience, which is the reason that from 2000 to 2022, he delivered only 6 films that have been rated ‘A’. It’s worth also adding that from 2002 to 2018, during a long 16 years, he had not delivered a single adult-only-rated film.

Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the Hindi drama film was authored by Asghar Wajahat & Rajkumar Santoshi jointly and financed by Aamir Khan & Aparna Purohit.
